In the spirit of an upcoming new venture I’m starting (details in the New Year!!), I am featuring a couple of non profits with a focus on recycling, reusing, and repurposing. Specifically, places to drop off non working holiday lights to be recycled or repaired so they don’t end up in landfills!

Reduce Waste Chicago has sites throughout the city collecting non working holiday lights for recycling so they don’t end up in landfills.

SCARCE collects holiday lights throughout the year in Addison, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
